From the WHEDA website:
http://www.wheda.com/root/SmallBizSummit/From the long list of top-level state functionaries, this can't be a(n official) "Stop the Recall" Walker fund drive.
But I'll bet if you walk in and don't pass the "smell test" -- if there's something about your appearance, or demeanor, or
personal style that screams "poor" and "Lefty-Leaning" (instead of "rich" and "Republican") -- you might as well not bother
going.
This has the look of a "meet and greet" (a passing-of-the-business-cards) marketing and networking opportunity. For both
the participants and the state office-holders hosting the event???
It's frankly disappointing. I remember a few years ago, the Packers hired Bush's former press secretary, Ari Fleisher,
to be some sort of PR flack, but this is worse. I took a look at the Packers "events" website for Lambeau Field and
except for a "Mills Fleet Farm Fall Sports Show" last week, the calendar looked EMPTY from last April to next January. An
autograph signing here or there, an event for the NFL Draft last spring... It didn't look like much of anything ever goes on
at Lambeau, except the games. {But then again, this Nov. 1 event wasn't listed, either. So maybe there's a separate
schedule for private rentals of the stadium, Shriner's conventions or Amsoil or Mary Kay events, or I don't know what....}
