9. See the Dem challenger here
She is Jessie Read, a resident of Sussex who has a master's degree in accounting. Two blog articles about her:

"I was dismayed by the apparent lack of transparency and inattentive practices being displayed by the current county clerk office. Having my vote counted correctly is very important to me and I have lost confidence that the election vote counting process is accurate."

It’s not just Waukesha County’s election practices that concern Read, but the apparent “lack of process and organization” within the Waukesha County Clerk’s office, in general. Read cited the missing letter incident as evidence of disorganization. She is confident that she can bring organization to the office.

Jessie has her Master’s degree in accounting, “a tremendous amount of practical experience” in bookkeeping, and has demonstrated the ability to properly follow processes. If elected, Read would follow the recommendations for best practices, seek out correct information, and learn from the experiences of other county clerks; what a concept.

4. She'll lose her job this year.
She's up for re-election and will be gone. The County GOP powers-that-be don't even want her.

6. After. But we have poll watchers and PLENTY of Dems working the elections.
Waukesha County is still the county with the 3rd most Democrats in the state right behind Milwaukee and Dane. And we're mobilized, organized, motivated and watching with eagle eyes.

8. No, we did not. We gathered, formed, met, socialized and organized during the recount.

Had we been in place during that election, Kathy's misstep could NOT have happened.
