Passionate issues for WI duers.
I asked this question last week and the main focus seems to be campaign finance reform and local and state government.Does anyone have any ideas on how we can use this forum to organize an effort on either of these issues? We really need to get our stuff together so we can defeat repugs and take back the gov. for the people!!!!!!!!!!

1. I don't know
It used to be that issues like the environment and fair wages would stike a chord with voters -- but now it's taxes, taxes. taxes all the time - which will turn us red and finish us off.

If we can coopt the tax issue and show the value of our services for overall quality of life in comparison with other red states - it might help.

But I am very pessimistic, given our charismatically challenged Gov. and his cohorts.

Walker, Finley etc. will seem like fresh faces and be able to dodge the social issues.

We are stuck only on social issues as long as the tax-freeze crowd gets the positive ink.

2. I'm on the Common Cause Wisconsin email list for CFR.
I'll be glad to post them if y'all want me to.

I really think we need Clean Money Financing in Wisconsin. How else can I help, gizmo?

NGU.

4. Good question, gizmo

I support organizations that are working toward campaign finance reform which is my biggest issue. Organizations like http://www.fightingbob.com and http://www.wisdc.org

The question I have is should we work outside the orgs that already exist, should we come up with a way to work side by side or should we just pick one and focus on boosting their message?
