Mark Green Campaigns On YOUR Tax Dollars


Mark Green, whose campaign war chest exceeds the operating expenses of many Counties in the 8th Congressional District, used taxpayer funds to send out a “report” on jobs lit piece that really qualifies as a campaign flyer. “While he abides by the letter of the law by not using the words “vote” or “support”, it is very clear that my opponent has misused his mailing privilege in a most callous way,” said Dottie LeClair, Democrat for the 8th Congressional District seat.

“Furthermore,” said LeClair, “if I were in office during the Bush-Green recession that saw the loss of 70,000 manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin, I would hardly want to campaign on that issue. (Economic Policy Institute, UW-Madison, 2004)”

“Adding to the job loss is the fact that many of the “new jobs” being created do not provide benefits such as healthcare. Mark Green’s votes have helped big corporations, but have done nothing to improve the lives of America’s workers.”
