Wisconsin Hiker's body found

The body of an American man who disappeared on Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver has been found.
The R-C-M-P say the body of David Koch (coke) was discovered by a hiker in a gully on the mountain.
Koch disappeared almost two weeks ago after taking the tram up to the top of the mountain shortly after arriving from Wisconsin.
The official search was called off a couple of days ago after it failed to find any sign of him. (BN)

1. I'm so sorry to hear this

the local reports sounded so hopeful....he was supposed to have been an experienced hiker. What went wrong?

2. I think he was actually "going for a walk"

and not really hiking -- so he wasn't prepared for adverse conditions. Didn't I read somewhere that he was wearing sandals? Probably went out for a walk on a local trail and ran into some kind of difficulty (i.e., a fall). It's too bad. From the news reports he sounded like a decent guy.
