zinndependence! :smoke: What's your favorite Howard Zinn essay? Mine is "The Art of Revolution", beginning to end a beautiful piece of work that still sends chills down my back. One of a few writers who can do that to me. His 'Lessons of Vietnam' should be sent to every senator as well

7. that's a tough one....

Of all Zinn's books, besides A People's History, my favorite is Declarations of Independence. I use several essays from that book with my students (I teach high school Poli Sci and Social Psychology.) I use "Second Thoughts on the First Amendment," "Economic Justice," "American Ideology" and "The Black Experience" most often.

I've been lucky enough to meet Zinn four times. I have two signed books....I'm so proud!!! I'm such a dork! I even have a signed page from A People's History in a frame, on my desk at school!

4. A googlebomb is when you link certain words to certain Web sites.

In this case, I'm linking the words "batshit crazy" to Sensenbrenner's House site, like this:

batshit crazy

Then, when Google crawls the Internet (I don't really know how that works), it'll show those words linked to that site, and gradually, when people search for "batshit crazy," they'll end up getting Sensenbrenner's Web site rather than actual sites featuring the term.

Not that a lot of people search for "batshit crazy" -- although you'd be surprised -- so this is more for show than anything. Still. Maybe it'll get some publicity somewhere.
