2. Coming down in sheets!
Careful near Tenny Park and Park St at the railroad bridge unless your vehicle has a periscope and a snorkel!

Lots of standing water in all the usual low spots right now.

3. We got it at 7:00 a.m.
Here in E.C. It's a great thing--just had our lawn resodded, and have hated to waste perfectly good drinking water trying to keep that stuff alive.

5. We got some the day before yesterday.
Not a ton, but enough to keep the lawn alive.

Lorain, OH, however, got hit hard. 3" in 30 minutes. Freakishly (for this part of Ohio) it apparently killed a couple of people:

10. Did anything on your weather forecast last night say ANYTHING
about rain? Ours didn't. Laundry out on the line, every window in the joint open to get some much needed cool air. All they said was "no rain in sight until Thursday with a small chance of T-storms".

Guess weather people don't actually use science anymore either. Divining rods, moistened fingers in the air, and weather rocks seem to be the order of the day.

12. It was pouring outside and forcast said 30% chance for scattered AFTER 4pm
and high of 90.

After the pouring rainfall, Nat Weather Service has now revised to:

Chance of TStorms, high of 83.

The only accurate weather report is how it was yesterday, everything else is a crapshoot INCLUDING current conditions! :)

20. It apparently dumped it all in Green Bay -
We got about 3 drops. Lots of dark clouds, but nothing else. I even left my car windows opened, hoping it would pour. :(

We haven't had rain since the 4th of July weekend.

11. I was thrilled to see the bank of clouds on satellite crossing the state
It tempted me to just go outside and stand in it. Never thought I could miss rain - too much of a good thing and all.

Unfortunately, we're not getting sheets or cats and dogs in the middle of the state. But I'm not whining - really. I'd just like to see about two or three more days like this and I think the crops (and my gardens) will be okay.

13. Saw the bright red and yellow
splotches on the NOAA radar out of LaCrosse and got VERY hopeful but when you put the radar in motion it was dissaiting as it approached us....we only got a little bit but it's now cloudy and humid..

I swear that what my son says about Marshfield is true...it's a friggin "weather hole"...everything goes around us or disappears just before it reaches us...that's what happened on Saturday night...major cold front coming throught..heavy line of thunderstorms gets to the Clark Co line and POOOF! GONE.....

14. I know what you mean
Sunday night we did get a bit of precip, enough to thoroughly wet everything. But I know it didn't hit Marshfield and my parents a few miles to the north only had something close to a tenth in their rain gauge.

I couldn't help but be disappointed by the amount of rain we had today. I'm crossing my fingers that more is on its way. My neighbors corn fields look just awful and I fear we will have a huge crop disaster on our hands if we don't.

15. I'm worried about
the crop too...that's sort of a hangover from my old job. I always worried that the farmers weren't going to be able to pay their bills or have enough feed for the cows over the winter...

19. Ran into this on the WAY to Madtown today.
Definitely NOT fun at all. I almost had to pull over under a bridge on I-90.

The rest of the day was beautiful though. Perfect for a campus visit. I really, really like your town! :D

21. Thanks darkism! It's a nice town. We all like it.
Hope your travels were safe! Relatives in Rockford report rain there too. Not sure where you are from in IL, but they got a little bit of something in the former "second city".

23. I'm listening to it thunder right now
but watching it on satellite over the past hour and a half, it looks like it will stay in the south. We here in the more central parts will be passed by once again.
