Naylor adds name to race
Democrat makes bid for open seat in 40th District By Ben Jones
P-C Madison bureau chief
MADISON — A Waupaca area Democrat is running for the 40th state Assembly District.
Dan Naylor, 53, a longtime human services worker who now owns White Pine Consulting Service, said the “extreme rhetoric” that he hears in Madison helped prompt him to enter the race. He said he wants to restore civility and respect to government and he wants the work of government to be done effectively, openly and on time.
“I’m very concerned that we are losing the ability to effectively discuss issues,” Naylor said.
The 40th District includes most of Waupaca County and a small portion of Outagamie County. Jean Hundertmark, a Clintonville Republican, is the incumbent but isn’t seeking re-election as she pursues a bid for lieutenant governor.
