Toronto Rally

Amazing day! Freezing cold, but I didn't feel it a bit. They said a crowd of around 3,000. I was disappointed there weren't more people, but I'm sure the cold didn't help.

Mary Walsh was the MC ...Fantastic. Jack Layton, Stephane Dion and a whole host of MPs with them. Notably absent were Bob Rae and Iggy. No surprise. Union leaders, obviously.
Oh and Feist showed up. (There was talk of Neil Young playing - didn't happen and I was disappointed because he is in town playing Massey Hall)

Being the anniversary of the Montreal massacre made it more significant.

A very moving and proud day to be a Canadian. I don't know about you, but I haven't said that much in the last few years.

1. Sounds interesting
Isn`t Feist from Calgary? That has to bug Harper and his supporters.

3. I froze my ass off
but it was awesome! Love hearing from Jack, Mary and Stephane!

As a former American, but not yet quite Canadian it was a wonderful experience :-)
