I'm sort of a news junkie and have a ton of feeds coming in. I run a couple of blogs but I get way, way more stuff than I have time to comment on - I'm also a news purist. So, what I've done is
I set up a twitter feed:
http://twitter.com/newswrthyand a Facebook page (with the same feed):
http://www.facebook.com/pages/News-Worthy/229682101607?v=wallSo I read my feeds: ABC (Australia), Al Jazeera, Amnesty International, BBC News, CBC, Mother Jones, Grist, Macleans, National Post, Embassy (Canadian Foreign Policy mag), NPR, Rabble.ca, Reporters Without Borders (RSF), MIT Technology Review, the Economist, the Georgia Straight, the Globe and Mail, the Nation, the Progressive, the Toronto Star, Walrus Magazine, New York Times, Truthout and others
I take out the 'human interest' (cat in a tree) stories, the individual crime stories, the weather, sports, celebrity news, and all the other useless stuff that clogs up the news and pass on the good stuff without commentary to the feeds. Just thought I'd share in case this is useful to anyone.
