Rahim Jaffer’s business partner comes out swinging
Former MP Rahim Jaffer's use of a cluttered room across from the offices of his cabinet minister wife is likely at the centre of government allegations against Helena Guergis, Mr. Jaffer's business partner says.

Patrick Glemaud said he personally stopped in to see Mr. Jaffer a few times in late 2008 as he sorted through boxes and papers in the tight room in the Confederation Building on Parliament Hill. After he was defeated in the October election, Mr. Jaffer was between homes and apparently used the office near his wife's for temporary storage.

Mr. Glemaud, a long-time friend, said the room was not somewhere that Mr. Jaffer would have done business, and it predated his work at their company, Green Power Generation. Other Conservatives, including Human Resources Minister Diane Finley, have offices on the same floor.

Just like with Mulroney/Shreiber - have "spokespeople" and "associates" make questionable assertions on your behalf. Later, you can say they were mistaken, or misquoted you.
