Jaffer met Prentice aide in Guergis's office
Environment Minister Jim Prentice has disclosed that Rahim Jaffer met with his staff member on behalf of a company in Helena Guergis's parliamentary office, not in Prentice's riding office in Calgary, as the minister first stated.

Jaffer has been accused of using his ties with former government colleagues in an attempt to gain access to the green fund for alternative energy projects pitched by his firm, Green Power Generation Corp., without registering as a lobbyist.

Last Friday, Prentice rose in the House of Commons on a point of order to disclose Jaffer met with his staff member, Scott Winger, in Calgary last April and their discussions "involved representations by Mr. Jaffer on behalf of a company."

But during Monday's question period, Liberal environment critic David McGuinty asked Prentice to confirm that Winger met Jaffer in the offices of his wife Guergis, who was minister for the status of women at the time of the meeting.

So, that puts Jaffer, Guergis and Prentice all in this. Maybe the PM will be next. Given his notorious penchant for control, I find it hard to believe he was out of the loop.
