Harper condemns Norway attacks

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper condemned the "barbarous and senseless" attacks in Norway Friday that claimed 17 lives.

"These explosions and shootings in Oslo and in a camp nearby demonstrate that the world is still a very volatile place and that the military, police and service providers still have a tremendous responsibility in protecting their citizens," he said.

"We have to remain vigilant in Canada."

1. meanwhile, in libya
Canadian Forces continue to bomb the innocent citizens of Libya. On May 25, 2001, Brigadier General Richard Blanchette said that Canadian warplanes had flown 324 attack missions and dropped 240 laser-guided bombs. Each bomb weighs 500 pounds. Blanchette stated that he has ordered an additional 1,300 bombs.

This, however, is not "barbarous and senseless", according to Mr. Harper. Neither is turning over innocent people in Afghanistan to be tortured and/or murdered.
