RESOLUTE BAY, NUNAVUT—Unwilling to declare “mission accomplished” in Libya, Prime Minister Stephen Harper says it will be several days more until the 42-year-reign of Moammar Gadhafi is over.
“We have to be careful. . . This is the beginning of the end of the Gadhafi regime. I don’t say it is the end,” Harper said during a trip to the Arctic Tuesday.
“Our anticipation is that the military mission will obviously. . . terminate sometime in the future but we’ll first make sure the job is actually finished,” Harper said.
“We stand ready to help any way we can,” Harper said. “I don’t think frankly it’s been decided yet who will do what.”
