MI5 head warns on civil liberties
Well, who would have thought it?:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4232012.stm

The head of Britain's security service, MI5, has warned that hard won civil liberties may have to be "eroded" to protect people from terrorist attacks.

2. This quote says it all
"We can believe, correctly, that a terrorist atrocity is being planned but those arrested by the police have to be released as the plan is too embryonic, too vague to lead to charges and possibly convictions," she said.

"Furthermore the intelligence may be highly sensitive and its exposure would be very damaging as revealing either the source or our capability."

'We can believe, correctly, that a terrorist atrocity is being planned'?

This is the foundation of civil justice being questioned. And the sentence also sums up what preemptiveness is all about.

If you believe something, how can you be sure it is correct? It wasn't in the case of de Menenez - a horrifying example of groupthink and bad circumstances that lead to street justice being carried out. A preemptive strike per se.

And what is going on in Iraq? That too was 'belief' that the country posed a threat because of WMD - an example of a 'plan too embryonic, too vague to lead to charges and possibly convictions'. Because the WMD's wasn't there, and every time the inspectors didn't find weapons, it was seen as a proof that Hussein had them hidden even deeper down instead of as a proof that he'd got rid of them.

A doublefucked shadow reality picture where the red and blue wires are switched, and people in position in the so-called free world have become envious on the dictatorial system that enables government to whip their citizens into submission. To 'protect' them.

I smell a rat.

3. Give me liberty or give me death
'Protection' is what gangsters supply.
