10,000 on Iraq march say police

Ten thousand protesters are taking part in a demonstration against the conflict in Iraq, according to Scotland Yard.

The organisers, Stop The War Coalition, told BBC News 100,000 were taking part.

Fathers of two British soldiers killed in Iraq addressed protesters before the march started near the Houses of Parliament at noon on Saturday.

The route has taken protesters up Whitehall and along Piccadilly before reaching Hyde Park, where a rally is taking place.

which is to simply take the police number and double it.

Did any UK DUer's go on the march yesterday though? I last went on an anti-war demo in Sheffield the Saturday before US troops arrived in Bahgdad before nipping off to watch Sheffield Wednesday draw 2-2 with Watford.
