And what did you think of it?
I really enjoyed it; the bits about her own thoughts were sometimes unconvincing, but it was a great reminder of a recent period in history, which at least had the happy ending of her being kicked out!

1. It caught the primitive tribalism of the Tory party well |

particularly their belief in making a sacrifice of the leader when the electoral gods turn nasty.
It was also quite cleverly cast.
Though I loathed Thatcher when she was in power both last nights drama and the more tongue in cheek play about her early career shown last year have given me a bit more understanding of her. It must have been quite lonely and dispiriting having to battle constantly for acceptance in the cliquey, male chauvinist world of Conservative politics.

Whoever was behind it put together a cracking cast who did some very convincing "interpretations" of the main protagonists.
THE INDENDENT's reviewer wrote that Lindsay Duncan's portrayal of Thatcher was "one dimensional".
I thought she was great! (but much more beautiful that the real Maggie)
I was only thinking that it's a shame they didn't expand it to a major series (six one-hour episodes) covering the whole period from 1975 to 1990.
To me it felt a bit rushed. Especially how they squeezed-in flashbacks to 1975.
Having more time would have allowed the inclusion of more contemporary context (using the BBC News archives).
Maybe the producers wanted to keep open the option of a cinema release?
Then they later decided that it probably wouldn't pull in many punters ... (just guessing)

4. All the material facts about her booting out of office were surgically |

excised from the programme.
Looking forward to the day her Special Branch confession is finally placed in the public domain.
