I don't have a working television so I'll have to wait for the programme to appear on iPlayer (if I feel the inclination to watch it).

Anyway, here's some hopeful news from the Hope Not Hate blog:

BNP on QT - full report out soon

I've just written a detailed report on what happened inside the studio. The bottom line is that Griffin got a roasting and was made to look very stupid. He more uncomfortable he got the more he smirked and the more stupid he looked.

The best of the evening was when Jack Straw pulled out another prop I had given him - a copy of Holocaust News - distributed by leading BNP member Richard Edmunds. Ha ha.

Anyway, just checking over the report and then we'll post it. I understand that we have more than 700 people on Twitter willing to circulate our material. this is totally massive.

My understanding is that Dominic Carman taped the interview he did with Griffin. Perhaps he would like to release the tapes and that should prove once again that Griffin is a liar.

Mark Collett is still listed on the official BNP contacts list as Publicity, Design & Leaflets along with being British Nationalist Editor and Voice of Freedom Editor. Griffin said he wasn't head of publicity.

Where do I start? There were so many lies, so many evasions. And still he refused to say that the Holocaust happened. The best he could say was that it was a question of numbers. Total nonsense.

6. I saw it...

My perception was that Griffin was made to look like a fool and a liar, and that being on the programme may have done him more harm than good. I hope so; I realize that sometimes publicity in itself can increase popularity, but the audience members seemed to be running rings around him, and he seemed constantly to contradict himself. My favourite was the proposal from an audience member that he and his friends could club together to pay for the 'repatriation' of Griffin et al to the suitably colourless environment of the South Pole.

7. This was a remarkable example of the power of free speech.

Griffin must have prepared himself properly and was still made to look like an idiot. This whole business has helped to undermine the BNP rather than boost it. Peter Hain's legal challenge was well meant, but it was much more effective to let the country see Griffin for what he really is.
