Video: Top 20 guitar riffs of all time

The Independent seems to be devoting more and more space to this sort of list, but this one is more entertaining than most and gives endless scope for argument. My view? I can't believe they missed off Rebel Rebel, I Feel Fine, and Shakin' All Over.

2. Terribly Subjective

This is all very subjective but Cream's "Sunshine of your Love" is missing. As is "Purple Haze", which should be number one.

This sort of list always will be. I would dispute putting Purple Haze anywhere near the top all the time there are still recordings in existence of Brown Sugar, And Your Bird Can Sing and Substitute.
