What will Labour and the Tories do on gay rights?

The Conservatives have changed. Labour has a proud record in support of gays. So they say.

Prove it.

Nick Clegg published proposals on gay rights that I doubt Cameron or Brown can match.

Will Brown or Cameron play the gay card to "faith schools"?

Can they remain silent on this while each try to play to their base?

Have the Liberal Democrats dropped a bomb on the Labour Party Southern strategy?

2. Holding on to seats in the South East

and stopping a major wipeout in London to both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives.

They have already lost the South West and are likely to be hit in Scotland by the SNP.

This can put pressure on them in Manchester & Liverpool, which have large gay communities.

3. OK, "don't lose" is a fairly simple strategy

but in the absence of anything else, Labour may have to go with it, I guess.
