2. I don't agree with the assertion in that article...
...that knifing Gordon Brown prior to the election would have done Labour any favours electorally. For proof of why, take a look a the current Labour leadership contenders. None of them is exactly setting the world alight.

... but Cameron didn't get his majority even with Brown in charge. I don't think they'd have done worse with a new face.

I don't think leadership contenders ever set the world alight, do they?
