V for Victory: The day the Battle of Britain was won
"Never, said Prime Minister Winston Churchill, was so much owed by so many to so few, and, on Wednesday, the nation will celebrate the RAF’s victory over Hitler’s Luftwaffe."

A nicely written article. German historians argue that there was never any serious intention to invade, but that's a moot point. Defeat in the battle would have meant a compromise peace, and everything that followed would have been different. Most serious of all, Tom Cruise wouldn't have been planning a film about it.
