Especially as there is a theme going around in some British Tory circles (including that notable British Tory, Tony Blair) that evil secularism is harming the country and that religion should have more influence on politics - generally from a socially RW perspective. I think part of this is due to American Republican influences, and part to RW activism within both the Catholic and Anglican churches. If you can bear to read the Torygraph bloggers, some of them are extremely ugly on such topics.
