The Tory press stands back in amazement at the thought that the staff at Miss Birbalsingh's school might be upset that their new Deputy Head took a day off to publicize her forthcoming book by telling the Tory Conference what an idle, incompetent, cowardly bunch of Lefty Dossers teachers were.

Herself excepted, of course.

Doubt if a smack over the wrists with a ruler will worry the "Oxford-educated former Marxist" much, though. Looks like she's been practising that sneer for quite some time.

Of course, it doesn't seem to be quite as presented. For one thing, she has been reprimanded but not sacked - she will be back at work next week. Secondly, the criticism of her from the school and diocese is not because she went to the conference (she apparently did have permission for it) or because she criticized the school system, but because she told the conference stories about her pupils, using names and photographs! I can imagine that the parents of these children must be FURIOUS!!! Most unprofessional and disgusting behaviour on her part.
