Reagan Statue In London
"Reagan: A president's second act

A new statue of Ronald Reagan in London confirms the reverence with which this once-mocked leader is held. And an heir is expected from the next generation of Republican candidates, says Rupert Cornwell"

FFS, a statue of Raygun in London? They're probably planning Bush II's plinth as I speak. I only hope Fluck and Law are designing the statue. (asknowledgement: I stole the last line from the comments under the article)

4. Clive James once descirbed...
... Reagan's brand of patriotism as "John Wayne's portrait on the side of an MX-missile".

It's an interesting thought. Maybe we Brits should vote on which Yank we'd most like to have on a plinth in London instead of Ronnie. I think I'd vote for Matt Groening.

5. How about Al Franken and Michael Moore on either side ....
Not only would it be poetic justice, but the two large ones would balance the skinny one ...
