American Ambassador warns Swedes for Bush election loss

[Stockholm]

On a trip to northern Sweden on October 20th, the US Ambassador to Sweden, Miles Teel Bivins, surprised the gathered with a warning on what an election loss for President Bush would mean to Sweden and the rest of Europe:

"If I were you, I would take a deep breath, because the demands would increase regarding your commitments to countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan."

Hmm Mr. Ambassador, what makes it impossible in the first place for us to commit more resources to these countries? And when we are on the subject, intimidation politics works much better on the American public.

He has no diplomatic experience, has never served in federal office prior to being confirmed as ambassador, and is a Bush free-market toady.

More importantly, he's been in the capacity of ambassador to Sweden for about 4-1/2 months, meaning that the Swedes are now laughing at the US through his buffoonery, just because Bush needed to do right by one of his campaign supporters.

This guy, in terms of savoir faire, is Texas highway road kill.
