See www.overseasvote2004.com for a request form which can be filled out by an easy wizard.

1. Yikes
I know, I found out yesterday. Dropped everything, filled mine out, and went to the postoffice to mail it! Whew!

2. When I was back in the states this summer
I requested that the local Elections office Fedex the bollot to me. Otherwise it wouldn't get here in time. I'm worried about it actually. If it doesn't get here in time, I'll be furiuos. I have to vote in this election!

4. but...
Even if you don't get it in the mail by the 15th, you should still send it along as soon as possible, don't just give up! Not every state has the same requirements.

In some places, the US embassy can mail in your request for you, which means they can send it via courier pouch or whatever it is called and it will get there quicker. Just send for it as soon as possible! If you are getting nervous, I'd contact the embassy to see what they recommend.

6. Wait,
You talking about registering to vote by Sept 15? Or apply for an absentee ballot by Sept 15? I vote in NY, and absentee ballot applications aren't due until October . . .
