Forgive the plug, but Democrats Abroad is an organization with over 20,000 members in over 70 countries. Over 30 countries are full country committees and in most of the countries there are regular meetings for like-minded people to vent about Bush Co. etc. The DPCA is an official part of the Democratic Party that acts somewhat like the party of the 51st state. DA has voting DNC members, holds presidential primaries for candidates, keeps members up to date on how to vote from overseas etc. etc. All in all I've been very impressed with the number of progressive members of DA, and it's always good to be able to get together with some like-minded people to vent a little.

Sometimes, being the sparsity of population, its hard to meet up with
other yanks... lest one lives down towards london or oxbridge.

Indeed, that we should be aspiring to unity, not just democrats, but
as human beings, and embracing our fellow human beings... perhaps
i'll go to the pub. :-)
