Victorians plan child strip search powers.

Steve Bracks looks like following the truly repugnant Bob Carr down the road of OTT "anti-terror"
powers.

"The Victorian Government is under pressure to change draft counter-terrorism laws which could
allow children as young as 10 to be strip-searched without their parents' knowledge."

I would never say that a child couldn't be used by people with terrorism in mind, but if authorities
have reason to suspect this has happened, what is so hard about obtaining a court order for a search
which must then be carried out in front of at least one parent and a lawyer acting on the child's
behalf? I really don't understand the mentality of people who can think up things like this, nor
do I understand a community that will, in all probability, allow it to go through.
