"Bastard Boys" on ABC TV tonight (Monday)
"Bastard Boys" is a dramatisation of the 1998 waterfront dispute. Anyone see part 1 last night? Great stuff, had me weeping in my cocoa.

Just wanted to post a heads-up for anyone who missed it that Part 2 tonight should be well worth watching.

1. if you look real close tonight
you might just see little ol' me in some of the crowd scenes. Only perk a union job ever had - extras casting call for Bastard Boys

2. It was well done,
as only the ABC can do drama.

Wonder how long before Helen Coonan starts making noises about ABC bias?

3. I watched the whole thing. It was great.
I like the way John Howard is portrayed as a sinister plotter.
I dare the Libs to make a docudrama about the same subject.

4. It brought back memories for me too
I was part of a demonstration team against Peter Reith at a function on the South Coast during that period. The part I'm most proud of is that I introduced my daughter to the art of demonstrating. She held up a sign saying "Liar Liar pants on fire". She was only 11.
