Bushfires 'caused by abortion laws', Pastor claims
Source: livenews.com.au

The Catch the Fire Ministries has blamed Victoria’s bushfire disaster on the laws decriminalising abortion in the state last year.

In a media release on the Pentecostal church’s website, entitled ‘Abortion Laws To Blame For Bush Fires?’, its leader Pastor Danny Nalliah says he had a premonition of the fires in a dream last October.

“In my dream I saw fire everywhere with flames burning very high and uncontrollably. With this I woke up from my dream with the interpretation as the following words came to me in a flash from the Spirit of God,” Pastor Nalliah said.

“That His conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb.” ...

1. Classic Girardian scapegoating. This "pastor" should actually read some theology.

9. The fires were arson

And arsonists are known to not only visit the scene of the crime, but to comment publicly on them.

6. reality never interferes with their kinds' beliefs
& I bet he was willing to set those fires just so he could blame those he despises, never mind the insane disconnect, the total lack of comprehending cause-&-effect.

7. In other words, God punishes the killing of innocent people by killing innocent people...
Makes perfect sense if you're an evangelical... :eyes:

10. Maybe it was the millions of innocents Australia helped kill?
As eager participants of the Iraq War, surely God is PO'd at the Ausies for participating in that war crime. If God is pointing his/her magic finger and raining down fire and water (it was the gays fault in New Orleans) for moral crimes, wouldn't the Iraq War Invasion be a cause for some godly wrath?

Just saying.

12. I'm so sorry about the deaths of yr friends, Djinn...
I doubt any self-respecting cop would do anything but show those ugly CTF fuckwits the door if they dared to complain about any emails they got. I didn't lose anyone to the fires, but if I met one of those CTF scumbags on the street, they'd be getting a serve from me...
