Flood devastation mapped by high-res sky cams
The sheer devastation of the Queensland flood disaster will on Sunday be visible to anyone with a computer following a flyover of affected areas yesterday by Australian online mapping company Nearmap.
Nearmap CEO Simon Crowther said the images, taken with high resolution cameras attached to two Cessna planes, would be five times as detailed as those seen on Google Maps. Anyone around the world would be able to access them from nearmap.com on Sunday.
