Let me just say, this is bloody brilliant!

Most of us think we are familiar with the gist of Advance Australia Fair. Young and free, girt by sea, golden soil, wealth and toil and so on. It's a little dull, mundane even, but it speaks of a nation fuelled by enterprising promise and an independent heart.
<snip>
Right then, let's see how this 21st century version of our national anthem reads, shall we? I hope it receives a better reception than the dance version used on New Year's Eve did from Johnny H. A government subcommittee will, in due course, furnish us with words to replace those that have been omitted, in the meantime just hum:
First Verse:
Australians all let us rejoice,
For dum, hum, hum, hum dee;
We've golden soil and hum hum hum,
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land hum in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and very hum;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia hum!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
"Advance Australia hum!"
Second verse:
Repeat "hum" until end.
What do you think? What do you mean nothing's changed?
That really does say everything!
