Nobody could be in any doubt that the elevation of Morris Iemma to
the NSW Premiership, and today the resignation of Andrew Refshauge
is the NSW Right flexing its muslces. But it's beginning to look
as if the Labor Right have taken lesson from the Cheney/Rove White
House in how to mold and manipulate a puppet figure to do their
bidding.
Here's a tale of Iemma's political ineptitude from today's Sydney
Morning Herald:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/simple-lessons-in-what-not-to-do/2005/08/01/1122748579447.htmlSounds very familiar to me - the Bush Puppet Down Under.
The last time the NSW Right interfered in state politics to this
extent, they gave us Barrie Unsworth, famous only for his cardigan.
I hope they fall on their faces again - while I couldn't bring
myself to vote for John Brogden, I hope he gets in next time, and I
think his chances are good. That's why Carr got out.
These wallies in Sussex Street care more about putting their own
faction in place than they do about winning elections. Beazley in
Canberra and Iemma in NSW. Great going, guys.
Dickheads.
