Final OH results (certified) coming in NOW

I have been watching this site all morning. It appears to be updated every couple of minutes. All counties had to certify their final results by COB yesterday.

As of now, 67 of 88 counties have been updated (55.92% of the precincts). The majority of the largest counties have not yet been updated.

Ohio Vote Suppression has 84 of 88 counties reporting (and based on the percentages... there aren't any large numbers of ballots left in the four remaining counties)...

79% of ballots were found valid and Kerry picked up a total of around 17,000 votes.

3. Some of Vote Suppressions' numbers look odd

I believe they are doing the best they can but often have to rely on verbal reports made during phone calls to the BOEs. I will be interested to see how the official numbers come out (presumably today).

Most seem to be about 60% 30% ish. I don't buy it. There's been a battle for the last month. I was really expecting a squeeker.

So what's the next step?

6. The numbers will close dramatically

when the bigger counties are entered. Cuyahoga county alone will provide a greater than 200K advantage for Kerry.

Realistically, expect the final results to be close to the Nov. 2 results.

12. Cuyahoga came in. Kerry netted 9242 there

According to elections officials, 16,058 out of 25,309 provisional ballots were accepted. The results are Bush +5,982, Kerry + 15,224. Note, the number of provisionals received is slightly higher than that used by the Plain Dealer (25,309 versus 25,302).

14. I've seen that but the numbers don't add up

5,982 + 15,224 <> 16,058. The numbers may include other sources (overseas absentee?) but it doesn't say that and is unclear. Cuyahoga has still not been listed on the official site. I am very interested in what that will show.

22. Does the counting involves checking software integrity?

I am not sure how you count each electronic vote? It is possible with easy programming to switch actual vote, switch checksum from 9814 to 9148 or selctively remove portions of rows and audit logs!

Anyone else believe them? I know alot of them if not all are off but I especially think Warren County is. Is that not where they locked everyone out while they counted and claimed some fake terra alert?

Paper trail,obviously, and law states 2 corners have to be broken for vote to count. This is the county where they had the lockdown due to a potential "terrorist attack".

The numbers now show Bush up by 300,000. Once the last 5 come in we should be looking at around a 120,000 vote spread.

and Ohio has strict rules on how to count punch cards that aren't totally punched. So most of the state can be recounted by paper ballots.

It was pointed out (two weeks ago, I think) that the "updated" AThens numbers were identical to the Nov 2 results. I imagine the numbers will be updated soon with the actuals (which should include the provisional and absentee ballots).

Well, this is interesting.
Last time, in 2000 in OH, Bush dropped from 49.997% to 49.96 percent.
I have a hard time believing, in a way, that Bush's final tally won't be even closer in OH this time, just based on several things, and on that.
In other words, he's at 50.90%, in this state listing.
That's about .901% above 49.99% (math whiz here.)
Let's see, if there is anything left out there at all, of any consequence, Bush could easily drop to a Plurality.
His dropping to a plurality, could be a water-mark of some kind, enhancing the credibility of a recount request.
Hmmm...trying to think. Is this 100% of everything? Are all precincts in all counties in with this tally? Are all provisionals in? Are all absentees in? Are any glitches reported at the state site?
It might take another few minutes, but I'm trying to sort out what those numbers of votes would be--.90% of the vote in OH. How many thousand is that? No clear numbers on this from looking at the third party candidates' tallies, but from the total certified state vote:
5,595,587 x .009 = 50,360.283 votes.
That may be how far we have to go, to get this to a recount credibility level. Any demonstrable, paper things taht could do this immediately. It might have to be almost immediate, and be irrefutable.
I'm just trying to second-guess or second-think these OH officials.
