Do you know what being a liberal means? It means you are open-minded to change. You learn from your mistakes and move forward. You can't recognize those mistakes if you don't acknowledge, or at the very least, discuss them.

This argument IS about election fraud. Part of fighting the fight is seeing the cause stay on track, and part of staying on track is trying to get more coverage in the main stream media. That won't happen if our "leaders" act like loons.

He's looking way beyond this election's fraud (the investigation of which, I believe, is a colossal waste of resources). We're going to be continually reacting rather than being on the offensive unless we can counter this:

"It's a good strategy: Hit the Democrats at their weak points and force them into a defensive crouch. Split them over controversial issues like abortion and gay marriage. Get them to defend the most unpopular incarnations of their interest groups. And so forth. Rove's strategy isn't designed to pass legislation that a majority of the country wants and is in the national interest. It's designed to destroy the competition, plain and simple.

If the Democrats play defense -- if they try to split the difference, if they are reactive, if they simply try to slow or modify whatever George W. Bush proposes -- they'll lose politically and, later, electorally, in 2006. So where's the counterattack?"

We need a powerful proactive strategy, folks! Any suggestions? We need to look way beyond this last election or we'll get whupped on again.
