SOME BAD NEWS AND SOME GOOD NEWS

I've spent the morning talking to Ida Briggs and Bev and they see things quite differently. I can't bridge the gap.

On Bev's side. She says that the polling tape evidence in Volusia County is relevant only in Volusia, as in the way the fraud was carried out there ONLY happened in Volusia and no where else. Not nearly enough to tip the election. You have to be able to prove that you can extrapolate the evidence out to other counties to prove fraud at the state level based on what they have with the polling tapes. Those tapes ARE being used in a criminal case against Teresa LaWhore and her coworkers. It's a victory, but a smaller one than you think.

Ida Briggs thinks she can use the tape copies to convince the Kerry camp to throw more money into recount efforts. I appreciate Ida, and what she has done. I really do, but I agree with Bev on this one.

THE GOOD NEWS: Bev did say she had another lead that she thought COULD tip the election, though because we were on record she couldn't tell me on the phone.

it just feels kind of strange to say that....I am just wondering because others times she came across sounding like she had the GOODS

What did it seem like to you when she said that?
Were you sold she really had "the big one" that could do it?

BTW, what "criminal case"? That would mean the tapes were turned over to Prosecutors and are not in BBV's possession anymore? When did that happen?

Hopefully there is really some criminal charge against LePore or you have just opened yourself up for a libel charge.

16. Here's what I don't get--if you've got PROOF--then why the hell

not turn it over to the Kerry Lawyers or anyone and everyone else you thought could get it out there and do something with it? Am I so wrong to ask that question or to wonder why that apparently isn't being done? I mean is it an astrology thing where she's waiting for the timing of the right conjunct of the moon to mercury or something?

And before anyone flames me, I've given $$$ to Bev to carry on this fight, so I'm far from being anti-Bev on this issue so don't even go there with me. And I'm not un-Democratic for asking the question--that's what we're supposed to do, right? Ask the tough questions?

If what they have in Volusia would actually help nationwide. Bev was pretty adamant that it wouldn't. That it is only pertinent in Volusia and couldn't be used for recounts anywhere else. In fact, if we make too big a deal out of Volusia, the GOP will fire back with what some Dems did in King County. The whole "it's a wash thing."

She did find fraud in one county, which is good. I was pretty disappointed, but Bev sounded hopeful about this other lead she has.

No, you won't be able to see this evidence. Sorry to burst your bubble. If you to bash Bev cause she won't show it to you, that's your problem, not hers. BTW...my mistake, the charges will come against Deanie Lowe. LaWhore was served for not releasing records.

Ida just thinks the stuff could have broader implications, from what you're reporting, while Bev is just saying they don't make a hard case for fraud on a broader level. I'd actually assumed her Volusia County evidence only applied to that area and nowhere else. The application for a case against Theresa LaPore is just bonus meat for me.

I knew, however, that she was looking at other areas and was waiting on whatever it was she could come up with.
