It has been vague on the national level and just asking her opinion about the WA race for governor which is still undecided because it is a 42 vote difference out of 2.8 million. I'll let you know what else happens.

15. My summary

Paraphrasing Bev:
People will tell you DREs can be hand recounted but a machine can print on a piece of paper what the machine says but that is just what the machine said. The error rate is around 5% which is much greater than the difference in the governor race. The error rate comes from a CalTech/MIT study.

My thoughts:
She sounds quite calm. Perhaps hasn't read the insanity that has been on DU boards lately.

Paraphrasing Bev:
We should at least finish the audit to see where the problems were. A county in FL lost or misplaced or didn't give us 1/3 of the records that show what the vote is. That has nothing to do with touchscreen. There are problems even without touchscreens. It would be a good idea to wait until we have more of the work done to compare real data before proposing new legislation.

We are going to have to file about 13 more lawsuits beyond Volusia County. So far we haven't done any county that checks out 100%.
I just picked up the Colorado State FOIA request. 3,700 pages of documents, a lot of interesting information you will see surface later on.

She has a document, apparently, from a tester of one of the machines that says they should not be used in Texas because they could easily be used for fradulent activity. These are the same machines being used (somewhere important, I didn't hear).
