BBV is getting to the bottom of this http://www.blackboxvoting.org/

There are too many missing votes. There are too many unexplained discrepancies between exit polls and BBV counts.

I don't want to see any more misplaced blame. Dems did energize the electorate and get out the vote.

Enough discussion about the NEXT election. There won't be one if we let them get away with this.

4. YES
I absolutely believe this is the case.

High turnout for the status quo? BULLSHIT.

The question is...Will Kerry fight?

If so, we need to back him any way we can.

If not, then what? We know 2008's election will be a farce. As legitimate as Hussein in Iraq or Musharraf in Pakistan.

9. It's kind of hard for Kerry to fight and stay the coursewhen you got
the so called 'liberal' media urging him to give it up.

"deep six" ballots and perhaps manipulate the "Opti-Scan" machines. I have no doubt where I am that there was something going on. You can't have huge crowds like we did with totals coming in with high Democratic turn out and lose a state to Bush. We only have two counties in NC that use the "touch screens." I'm waiting for the county numbers to see how those two voted..but they both have very low population. The highest populated counties here in NC use the "Opti-Scan."

7. True. The easily-hacked central tabulator Bev has been talking about
applies to optical scan machines as well.

8. I live in NC
In Guilford County, we used touch screens, where I voted. I would consider Greensboro, heavily populated. I hope that if there is fraud it is exposed and done quickly. But, I am even more afraid that the sheeple have spoken, and they followed their pastors and priests straight down the road to Armageddon

12. Did all counties in Greenboro/Winston Salem use the Touch Screens?
When I checked on this last year it looked like two counties closer to Wilmington...

Maybe they added them, later. That would make a difference if Greensboro/Winston Salem used the machines.

6. Diebold CEO: "I am committed to helping Ohio deliver... to the president"
The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors – known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

The letter went out the day before Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, also a Republican, was set to qualify Diebold as one of three firms eligible to sell upgraded electronic voting machines to Ohio counties in time for the 2004 election.

10. Yes, maybe but it should not have been close enough to steal.
Even if it was stolen- a HUGE percentage of voters are total idiots, sheep, lobotomized. Kerry should have won about 75% of the vote!!!

15. And your point?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 11:09 AM by Oak2004
Welcome to reality: a significant minority of people everywhere, at every time in human history as far as anyone can tell, will follow whatever their authority figures tell them. This is no big news to anyone with even a passing knowledge of psychology, sociology, or any other study of mass human behavior.

You can respond to that fact of our reality-based community in one of three ways. You can go the Straussian/neocon route and figure that you and your "superior" friends have an unfettered right to exploit the "sheeple" for your personal gain. Or you can recognize that your ability to think independently and lead others comes with an ethical obligation to lead these people rightly for the benefit of all. Or you can give up, abandon all responsibility, and, by your silence and absence, become yet another one of the "sheeple".

Which do you want to do (and if you have another alternative, please name it)?

I prefer to love my fellow citizens and fight for them, even if my fellow citizens don't always fully understand that that's what I'm doing. You're welcome to join me.
