THE MACHINES ... we need the MACHINES!! |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-07-04 12:23 AM by Woo
Does anyone know what they have done with the machines? Does diebold or whatever manufacturer come and pick them up?
What is happening with them? We need the source code to prove fraud, correct? Can they still detect the source code that might have made the machines count wonky IF they scrub the machine?
Shouldn't someone be concerned with this ? What happens if they're erasing all the evidence?
More question then answers -- can someone shed some light.
I feel like that guy in the Twilight Zone that finally figured out what 'To Serve Man...' meant --

1. The source code isn't in the machines. |
|
It's proprietary thanks to the 'rules' courtesy of you know who. Read the last chapter of "I Robot".

4. Central tabulators, yes, but the article on Riverside CA in March 2004 |
|
indicated that the tabulation program could be changed in the middle of a tabulation (i.e., by having a facility lockdown and letting a programmer sit at the machine) and once the tabulation was completed the program would exit without saving the changes (to the program). The 'add 5% here, subtract 5% there' logic was the example which Bev Harris used in the article.

3. Seems the most logical route |
|
It seems that impounding the machines would be the first thing to do in this case so that they could be isolated and tested as potential evidence. But you know what they say? Common sense is not so common, and it seems to have gone out the window about 4 years ago... I don't know what the hell is going on in this country anymore... Exit polls are wrong here, but justifiable evidence of fraud in the Ukraine... Beats the shit out of me man. It's as if the world has gone batty and people refuse to take a logical and common sense approach to fixing the problem. Getting the machines would have been the very first thing on my agenda as soon as the polls started to close in a non-partisan manner. Just to test and see how accurate they are -- especially after the exit poll descrepencies.... But what the hell do I know? I'm just another John Q. Public...

5. I hope there are still some 'dirty' ones around |
|
but I fear most or all have been scrubbed of evidence by now.

6. We can do demonstrations with them. |

Get the touchscreens that bring up Bush votes when Kerry is chosen. Make sure they haven't had the malicious update removed. Try to vote for Kerry on camera. See how many times it tries to register for Bush. Do it a hundred times or more. See how many votes count for Kerry.
