A different candidate would have made no difference....
Rove planned and stole just enough votes to
win. No matter who was the Dem candidate Rove
would have done the same. He's a calculating
bastard. If there is any justice he won't be
able to save shrub from facing all his accumulated
failures.

1. But would Clark or Dean challenged the results more?
I think there are a lot of grounds for reviews and challenges in a lot of places...and there are still votes to be countes in Ohio AND Florida. It seems to me that Kerry gave up a little quickly...

I voted for Kerry several times for Senator...and volunteered on one of his campaigns....and I have stood up for him when people were bashing him for being too corporate, stodgy, and such....so THIS really hurts for me. I just don't get it. I hope he tells me what I need to hear today...

2. I think Kerry's team figured out that the uncounted
military vote would have canceled any gains
from a recount in Ohio.

3. The first step...
...is to admit you have a problem.

Rove planned and stole just enough votes to
win. No matter who was the Dem candidate Rove

3.5 million votes. Poll-watchers everywhere, lawyers everywhere. If they're stealing votes, why didn't they steal enough in Wisconsin and New Hampshire, too, so that Ohio wouldn't matter?

Kerry was an awful candidate. He was a taller Dukakis. We need to avoid the paranoid "they stole the election" nonsense and figure out how 50+ million people could vote for this...this... Well, anyway, how it happened. Do you really think that Rove stole 4+ million votes? I doubt it. So there must be something else going on, and if we don't figure it out, we won't win next time, either.
