The whole election reminds me of what one might term as "Monkey Business"

The way it transpired, with long lines of people waiting to vote, the impossible exit poll miscalculations, the numerous electronic mis-tabulations, and the constant free press discombobulations, certainly makes it appear as if a bunch of monkeys held reign over the whole kit and caboodle, eh?.

There is another term used to describe such affairs. That term is "Monkey Wrenching". The original meaning of 'Monkey Wrenching' something is used in two different ways:

Use of a tool inappropriate for the intended task. Can you say computers?

&

The using of any tool in such a way as to make an operation malfunction.
