American corporations are never content to keep their products to the domestic market. Like the czars who peddle tobacco to Third World children, Diebold and ES&S have plans to export their machines to "our" countries (you know, the ones we conquer, like Iraq and Afghanistan) to give them the free elections that Bush so intelligently discussed during the debates.
I think they may be in for a surprise. You see, in my humble opinion, at this point in history Americans are the dullest, most complacent, and most ill-informed population in the world. Nobody else, but nobody else, will fall for this high-tech scam. Put these voting machines into Iraq and they will be overturned and smashed with hatchets, in my opinion.
Good points made at the Boston rally today about these voting machines. Has anybody ever countered to you that there has always been vote-fixing in America? That Kennedy and Johnson owed votes to vote-fixing? How true. However, it used to be local, manual, detectable, small-scale vote fixing. What has happened now is that vote-fixing has been dramatically upgraded by high-technology, so that it can now be large-scale and undetectable.
Our society is WAY TOO ENAMORED with high technology. From the latest DVD scanner to the newest computer and TV to rocket ships to the moon to genetically engineered food, to quadruple bypasses for people who were too lazy to change their diets, to processed food and petrochemical solutions and scary-named drugs for everything, we are hypnotized by the idea that higher-tech is better than lower-tech.
No it's not. It is at the root of this scam, a scam that has been planned for years. Install these machines, and the votes will be theirs. They planned this into the situation from day one. Diebold and ES&S are run by convicted felons.
But then, the US Govt is run by unconvicted felons.
