and with what results. How does this measure as action against election fraud compared to 2000. I just want some perspective here. I'm still not sure whether to jump up and down in celebration or choke back the hopefullness to avoid disppointment down the road yet again.

1. If it were as easy as that.....
We are in a more advanced place this time even though we are still seeking a little justice.

What are your expectations in terms of your celebration or disappointment?

2. Oh To Be A Virgin
2000 was a great unknown for most. Bush was in a position of strength and wouldn't yield. Gore won the state but didn't know how to prove it and the Democratic Party ultimately decided to put the country first and act like gentlemen.

I think disappointment will ultimately come but it will be different from last time in that Kerry conceded and then went silent. By emerging now, Kerry has little to lose and more to gain. Evidence has been accumulating and some of it could well be damning and election changing. Bush is in a far stronger position now than he was in 2000, but this effort could ultimately gut his so called mandate, perhaps tarnish the Republican Party, and perhaps end the privitazation of the vote. This loss will hold more pain ahead, but there are so many opportunities as well that 2000 never offered.

3. I don't think anyone formally said the F word in 2000
All the actions taken in 2000 were about getting the recount in a very close election, but this action suggests that foul play or at the very least gross negligence are suspected. I think that's huge.
