Were they actually trying to kill her or just frighten her into silence/inaction?

What is her role? Has she said everything she can say? I suppose even if she has gone on record in an affidavit with evidence, if you can get rid of someone, then they cannot actually testify...an afficavit is inadmissable because it cannot be cross-examined?

Does she know more than she realizes?
