We're going to need SENATORS - Here's my note to BIDEN -

Here's what I just sent to Joe Biden - who happens to be my state's man in Washington:

Both my husband and I have been computer nerds for over 20 years. We know and understand how the addition of selective computer programming - and in this case most especially in the tabulation process - could easily be done, after all votes were made (paper trail or not). Investigators need to include looking at the tabulating in all areas where exit polls radically differed most especially in Ohio and Florida.

Joe, I write you a lot and I want you to know I've been digging into all of this - with many people around the nation and we believe that the criminal activity can be found if we get the right items to examine NOW.

Just this week people are signing affidavits regarding illegal actions and the hearings are turning up lots of people with serious testimony and evidence in hand.

You are just the right rebel to take this on and get MAJOR grassroots support for backing. Please review (below) what's going on and consider giving your media clout to the stand against this second stolen election. You can't go wrong by insisting that the people deserve to know about any problems so they can be fixed.

Rep Conyers' committee will need SOMEONE from the Senate, you know that. Don't let this be a repeat of what happened after the Florida election when not a single senator would stand up for the voting rights of their citizens. It's the right time to do this.

but I'm in a state held hostage by Bill :scared: Frist and LaMar "I used the University of Tennessee as a stepping stone and didn't give a flip about the students" Alexander.

I could write Biden, however. He and Gore and, surprisingly, Orrin Hatch, worked with me on some campus crime legislation back in the early 1990s. I doubt he remembers me, but he might remember the issue and I could segueway that concern I remembered him showing for a young student's "kooky" cause to open campus crime records as a Constitutional right into a letter from my red state to his blueness about MORE Constitutional rights - voting rights.

Will that work? He or Kennedy are probably our only bets in the Senate.

21. I know, I've heard him discuss that but

if we can convince him that there is real evidence here perhaps he would risk becoming a hero --which would ultimately bring him the spotlight and help him.

How pitiful to watch McCain latch onto steroids as a big issue to bring him a spotlight while considering the next prez run. Yeah, THAT'S what I'm most worried about for my country.

I must admit I agree that our current politicians are too timid to step forward alone on big topics anymore but I hope I never stop asking for it. It's that aging hippie philosophy I so miss..."Question Everything!"

11. I write my senators and my congressmen even though some are

republican. Graham and Nelson have both sent a standard letter saying gao is investigating the election but the republican congressmen send thank you for your interest in the government letters not acknowledging election fraud. I like writing them though just to make them feel guilty and to let them know I know what they are doing.

12. Better to identify a Senator who might want to retire after this session

and/or someone from a state that was so blue, that the electorate of the state would stand completely behind that Senator. Because to do this would be considered in the Senate, and throughout government, as someone REALLY sticking his neck out. Probably would have to be someone who was extremely liberal. Probably somebody who is marching to his own drummer in the first place.

We shouldn't choose someone like Biden, because like it or not, if someone really does do this, the person is going to get a LOT of flak, and why expose a leading Dem to that? We need every smart, leading Dem for future elections.

I should add that I think this strategy has little hope of success, but I would be thrilled if you could find one.

15. I don't think Byrd would give a damn what anybody thought.

He's not my Senator, but, in my state, Louisiana, you will not get a democrat-lite to put her pretty head on the chopping block. Speaking of sweet Mary, of course. I can see her pitching a bloody fit over the lack of armor for the military, though. She's a nice lady, but, she has to be careful.

18. It's a lot to expect if the person would have to give up their career to

do this, and I think most of them would have to. I can't blame them for not wanting to be that one Senator that sacrifices everything, while the others don't.

There just isn't enough support out there. Even the polls only rate it at about 20% of voters, last I heard. So that's about 2/5 of those who voted for Kerry, not even half. The Senators are there to represent their constituents, and there are more constituents thinking right now that there isn't any major problem with the election than there are those of us who think there IS a major problem with the election. So, there you have it.

But if you were able to identify a Senator who came from a state that was SO blue that the support for the idea was much higher even than among Democrats generally, then it MIGHT make sense for them to do it.

20. I agree. Byrd values the Constitution above all. And recently he

was one of only two who voted against the Intelligence Bill. And was also one of the few to vote against the Iraq War. He must be close to retiring.

I think he'd be honored to be asked.

We, the undersigned citizens of Oregon, agree that a repeat of the betrayal of the 2000 election where no senator stood up to support the Congressional Black Causus in challenging the election outcome would be unacceptable.

Both my senators are too busy being "moderate" to help out with something as insignificant as fair elections. No doubt they are currently struggling with other major issues like:

Will my national identity card have a big red A for atheist on it? Will the ink make a pretty color when I burn the card? When the national medical exams come and they want to put my kids on mind altering drugs, will it be legal to sell the drugs on the street for food money? Will debtors prisons create jobs?

I also wrote to Carper and Castle. I'm going to start sending pretty much the same note (slightly customized) to all the Senators. Even the republicans. You never know when one is starting to feel really warm and that his collar is getting a wee bit too tight.

Good plan. I happen to respect both Carper and Castle (well, most of the time on Castle) and will also do something there. I feel pretty lucky to actually like all of our state reps in Congress but then again, being a pretty small state, it's only 3 people.
