Odd Bev Harris story: A reporter recounted Glades County FL |
|
a few weeks ago and had a encounter with Bev Harris. He reported this in the weekly Chicago Reader. He chose Glades County at random and went early in the morning to the Glades County Election Office. He was ready to start the count when the election official got a cell phone call and said it was going to be delayed. He had to wait twenty minutes when Bev came speeding up with a camera crew. Bev hugged the election official like they were old friends, which the reporter (and I) found odd. The fact that he chose a random county to count and Bev showed up made me wonder if she is just looking to make a movie about herself.
The other news out of this was that the ballots were stored offsite in a warehouse 1000 feet from the election office. I'd post the link but it costs $1.95. ChicagoReader.com the writer's name is Balch.
This made me wonder about Bev's motives (in addition to the twilight zone style pictures of the staff on the BBV site).

They were up there when they were requesting money during the New Hampshire recount and it made me have second thoughts about how serious they were as scientists.
