Kerry's character study (sort of) or why some have bought into "*" lies

Lt. John F. Kerry was a swift boat commander in Vietnam. He volunteered for combat duty. In fact he asked to go to Vietnam.

A swift boat is a river patrol boat, very fast and not all that well armed or protected. They were part of very dangerous missions in hot spots, for example in the Mekong Delta and the border with Cambodia.

If you were to be a swift boat commander during Vietnam, you probably had to make real time quick decisions in order to save your men's lives and your own, besides, it was expected from you to complete the mission.

A man like that DOES NOT HESITATE OR THINKS TWICE WITHOUT HAVING THE CONSEQUENCES OF EVERY ACTION ON MIND.

Doubting Kerry is buying into "*" mobster's portrait of Kerry.

It is sad to watch how a mediocre, AWOL, coward, liar could dictate what you may think of Senator Kerry.

Let's keep this thing real!

2. Kerry would make a huge difference as Pres.

He knows the horror of war...and has worked against nuclear proliferation for years. We are going to need a very intelligent person to steer this boat.

4. My view of what Kerry has stood for drives my current disappointment.

This guy has more balls than most people on the planet.

Even if he wasn't shouting Fraud, I'd at least like to have seen some outrage about voting lines, machine "glitches" and other clear faults in the democratic process.

Kerry has a lot of personal integrity, and fights for justice. So I too am baffled as to why we haven't heard from him on voter fraud.

Either he's so bought into the system that like many people he can't believe it's possible, or he considers talking about it political suicide. But he really seems to smart for either of those scenarios.

I do think he was our best chance to begin to dig us out of the mess we're in. And he would be good for the environment.

He ain't coming out unless he has proof positive in hand so he can nail the Bush bastards.

If he doesn't come out, I will take it as a sign that he couldn't scrape together enough hard evidence. At least not now. I've seen him work on these things for years. BCCI took 4, and 10 years later he's still has his nose in that situation.

If he came out half-cocked, it WOULD be suicide. That's not to say he's afraid for his political life and that's the only reason. But I expect him to stay politically alive so that he can fight the Bush regime from his place of strength if need be, which would be the Senate. I don't need a Gored Senator laughingstock with no teeth. That's not going to help in Congress #109. I need him to fight against the wingnut agenda.

I believe he's being careful and smart. Others disagree.

I just wave my paw at them and say "Bah."

I hope you're right I'd like to believe that about him. He's a very deliberate player, and very intelligent.

But we could use some words of encouragement from him, a statement, something that builds momentum. Otherwise, I'm concerned that he doesn't believe this is an issue worth pursuing.

Do you hear the steel in his voice? He can't come on the Election Fraud Boat without hard irrefutable evidence. Otherwise he jeopardizes his work in his next Senate term. He's got other matters to think of too.

How to stop the war. How to stop the torture. How to keep the Constitution from being dismantled. He seems to be genuinely worried about that the massive Bush takeover keeps on rolling.

Although his speech is mostly about healthcare, listen to his voice and heed his advice.

Kerry will lead us out of the darkness!!!:) I wrote him a letter a few weeks ago...Here it is.......
Dear Mr. Kerry,
I teach high school and I was hoping to give a
different perspective re: the 2004 election fraud. I
love what I do. My students are indeed the future of
this country and it concerns me when they express
cynical and jaded views regarding the direction of our
political system. These young adults see things
fairly black and white because they have not had the
life experiences that often taint our beliefs as we
grow older. Therefore, I find it critically
imperative that these young adults have a moral
compass and role models that embrace honor, integrity
and courage. They are watching us closely right now
and it becomes increasingly difficult to explain that
corruption hasn't infected everything throughout this
country. How can we expect them to "do the right
thing" for their generation if we are unwilling to
model ethical behavior from our own? Mr. Kerry- you
have a unique opportunity to LEAD these young adults
by your EXAMPLE! I realize this task will not be an
easy one. You have displayed courage and leadership
throughout your lifetime by drawing strength from your
convictions...we need you now more than ever before!
Please trust that the 60 million people who share in
your values will be behind you in this fight. There
is so much at stake. The future of our country
depends on it! Your leadership and passion for
integrity will ignite a flame of promise for these
young adults...good CAN triumph over evil! I hope you
will continue to challenge the authenticity of the 2004
election regardless of the outcome. Fighting for the
integrity of our democracy can only be a winning

13. I admit I've lost "faith," but I still want him to prove me wrong.

I'm just waiting. That's all.

My gut tells me we won't overturn this election and that the best we can hope for is to cast doubt on the process. I'm not 100% sure of fraud, but my gut tells me massive fraud took place. All I want is the truth and I'm not sure we're going to get it. That's what pisses me off the most.

Did everything possible to bring the true portrait of
the Bush administration to the public.
My focus is on what happened during our election
process and was there fraud involved? Not on whether
John Kerry is behaving appropriately to my taste.
The man worked his butt off in the campaign.

those of us with left nuts would have given them to see Kerry doing just part of what he's doing now. I still remember how some of us celebrated the first bit of news that Kerry was involving himself. But it never seems enough. Never loud enough. Never bold enough. The joy never lasts for long.

He indeed worked his butt off. I watched him. Being a Battlegrounder counted for something.

As pleased as I am about the filing, I'd still like to hear from the man himself. Not a lawyer "representing" him. But *sigh* I guess he won't speak until or unless something turns up.

I understand. If I were in his shoes, I expect I'd be uneasy saying the five-letter F word unless I could prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
