Do Not Believe the Misinformation Being Fed by the Corporate Media Designed to Undermine Your Determination

Washington 12/28/04 7:45 PM. I'm hoping C-SPAN will show up tomorrow morning at 11:00 for the press conference at the National Press Club but it is hard to know what they will do. We will show the Linda Byrket film "Video the Vote" and distribute copies to them on videotape. You can read the media advisory as well as the op-ed-turned-advertisement that will run in the Post on Thursday. As a public service we've put together a page at TheWashingtonPissed.com reviewing the controversy and asking people to join us in sending flowers to 15 key people there, to share our grief with them and our condolences on the death of what at one time was a great newspaper. If there is anyone with a platform in the corporate news media who is genuinely a part of the political opposition in the U.S. he or she is on vacation right now, enjoying the last few moments before the lights go out on the Constitution of 1789 that made us, for a time, the world's most successful democracy. Both the New York Times and on Olbermann's blog have selectively quoted from Kerry and Democratic Party officials to create the erroneous impression that resistance to Bush is futile. Don't believe them.

I cannot believe the beating he took on Fux News with that disingenuous Alan Colmes and whoever that sucker-face was on the show. They just piled on him. It was disgusting. But Lytel held his own as best he could.

Alan Colmes is a disgrace to the Democratic party. He's a Zell Miller, yuppie style.

5. I thought David did well in the Faux News back alley.

He came across as genuine and sincere, a real person, with strong beliefs, and able to hold his own with two Faux bullies beating up on him. It was an inherently unfair situation--two on one, with Colmes pecking his eyes out, and Hannity heaving and sighing and throwing in an occasional low punch--a truly disgusting performance by these two. I think anyone watching who wasn't a Bush bigot would have sided with David and admired him for sticking up for his beliefs. He got a couple of important points across, the main one being "Bush lost!" TV viewers don't get to hear that very often. (Hoorah, David!)

They say the same thing, over and over...

They know the score but would never admit it-- they know they have to toe the Faux line in order to keep their jobs. They know that Lytel is an honorable man who is telling the truth.

You've really hit rock bottom when you have to lie (or attempt to) to yourself.

I'm getting errors trying to access the links in the original version of this post on the ReDefeatBush web page. Very few are working. Was the site hacked?

David is a true patriot. I admire his courage just for walking in to the Fox News studios, let alone the skillful way he made the interviewers demonstrate how frightened the Wingnuts are of election challenges. This post is the first I've heard of the San Francisco event on 1/4; excited to hear that those of us on the Pacific coast will have a forum to express our concerns. I'm going to relay the details to my distribution list right away.
