Dr. Leon gives his permission to cut/paste or crib as you will from his letter alreaday sent to Senator Byrd:
Dear Senator Byrd -
I am asking for perhaps what may become one of the
most courageous acts of your distinguished career.
I am asking you to oppose certification of the
Presidential Election of 2004.
Even a casual look at the discrepancy between
scientifically tested exit polls,
and the results in all the battleground states,
particularly Ohio, shows that John Kerry was elected
President on November 2nd, 2004.
In over 3000 elections all over the world, the
accuracy of exit polls has been scientifically
tested and shown to be accurate within a fraction of
a percentage point. The current invalid
administration is using exit poll data to question the
Ukraine election in fact.
We must apply the same standard here that is
appropriate to Ukraine, or to any democracy
that deserves the name.
In state after state, exit polls favoring Kerry by
several points swung inexplicably to Bush.
There is no valid explanation.
Much more evidence as well is being gathered
by the Conyers forums in Washington and Ohio. Again,
even a casual look at the statistics and anecdotal
evidence is shocking.
At its root, I believe that voting suppression
and manipulation is the greatest civil rights
story of our time.
I would also direct you to the filing
challenging the Ohio election, a cogent assembly
of evidence, at
